Citizen Soldier, part five

When 180,000 part-time soldiers went to Iraq they left behind their careers. Under the law their jobs were waiting for them when they returned. But the deployment took hundreds of police officers, firefighters and other emergency workers off the streets. Heather Bosch details the impact of that loss here at home in the fifth part of her series, "Citizen Soldier." This series won the 2005 Regional Edward R. Murrow award for Best Series.
